Bring it on...I'm ready for it!

Farewell to 2012 and hello 2013. I've heard it said that whatever you're doing on New Years Day is an indication of what the year holds for you, in which case then 2013 is definitely my year.

I've had an awesome week actually, four days with family in Renmark, then last night - dinner, drinks and a show in the city with hubby and good friends. Had an absolutely excellent night - the show was one of the best I've seen and more than worth the money and then a nice romantic night in a hotel.

Today, we came home and caught up on some much needed sleep. Out to dinner again tonight with just hubby and I and then a walk along the beach afterwards with our furkid. What a great way to finish one year and start the new one.

I have grand plans for 2013, no more waiting around for things to happen. There's plans to be made, goals to be set and achieved and an amazing life waiting to happen.

I discovered an article tonight which was quite interesting reading - it works by using the 9 main areas of Feng Shui to create the life you want and to enable you to identify small steps for strengthening all of the areas. Another way of goal setting, but I love all of these sorts of things.

What's it matter how you set your goals or what works for you, as long as you're doing something to improve your life or take you one step closer to achieving your dreams. All of this is in keeping with my word for 2013 to 'visualise' my dream life and then make it happen.

So what's your dream life look like? Here's to you, me and a sensational 2013.

  1. My dream life looks pretty much the way my life does now, except for being much more financially stable. I can say I'm pretty pleased for the most part.

We're starting the new year with a trip to play disc golf with my parents this morning and hopefully a movie this afternoon.

    1. Have a great day - even though I have no idea what disc golf is, I'm thinking maybe like what we call mini golf - but then maybe not.

Hope you also had a nice relaxing New Years, sounds like you and Dan have found what works for you guys which must add to that 'dream life'.

Hope 2013 is sensational for you and your family and thanks for dropping by here in 2012.

    2. Disc golf is also called Frisbee golf. It is a little different from mini golf because we use Frisbees (flying discs), but the concept is the same. We have to go up and down hills, around trees, and sometimes over obstacles like ponds and washes. It's great fun!

Daniel and I have found what works for us, and we are starting to fall into patterns that are comfortable and help enhance life. Both of us are anxious to get back to work, as we do better with a structured day or having a purpose. Maybe next year we will have to plan our vacation days with a little more focus. Things are looking good, though.

I hope 2013 is fantastic for you, too. I hope to be able to stop by more often with this year's goal of finding a better work/ life balance. I've enjoyed being able to get to your blog almost daily through my winter break.

  2. Happy New Year Fi! Sounds like you had a great one! We celebrated hubbys bday this past week and stayed at a nice hotel nearby, dinner with friends, quiet time alone, we needed that. Then last night NYE, went out to dinner again with the fam and took in a movie. It was nice. I got your package!! Thank you so much. So sweet of you. However the chocolate isnt doing much for my weight loss goals...lol...I will keep them handy when I need a choc fix right after a work out...lol.. Seriously, you rock and the back pack, how cool. I am going to use that for my work out stuff. Here is to a great 2013 for you and your family.

  3. My husband plays disc golf too, he plays in tournaments here in the US now. He really likes it. Gets him out and about, and exercising.

    1. That is really cool, I Am Not Superwoman. We are going to go watch a tournament at a park near us in February. My brother introduced us to the sport, and we have all fallen in love with it!
