38c degrees yesterday, 39c today and 37c tomorrow. That's roughly between 98 -102 F. After a very mild summer this has come as a bit of a shock.
All too soon though we'll be whining about the cold and rain and while I much prefer the heat, this is a bit warmer than I like. Keeping the babies and puppies in our world cool is a challenge. We've been giving our new puppy chunks of ice in her water bowl and to play with.
I missed a great photo opportunity yesterday, when I walked in from work she was stretched out on the lawn with her chin propped on a huge chunk of ice, but as soon as she saw me she was up and waggling her whole little body in greeting.
My grandson is here for a sleepover and at least the house is nice and cool. I was going to take him down to a friends place this evening, they've got a pool and were having a BBQ dinner but it's still so hot outside. I think he's been much happier here exploring the house which is nice and cool and especially now that he can move with his commando style crawl.
I'm just looking |
Can you still see me? |
So is it warm or cool where you are and what's your weather preference?
Cheers, Fi

Hi Fi ~ :) ~ We are having a very warm winter here in Texas this year. Today has cooled from our 70's.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you and Junior can have some fine grandmothering time! He is a cutie! Enjoy him like this as he won't stay little for long.
..
Jim I would have thought that Texas has warm winters generally. I know he will grow quick, its a pity they don't stay so cute and easy for long.
DeleteIt is unusually warm here at the moment - the last couple of days have been 16 and 17 degrees celsius. My weather preference is warm to hot, but not scorching hot. On the other hand, cold, crisp winter days are nice if you're wrapped up well!
ReplyDeleteMe too - As long as it's only one or two days of cold, crisp winter days
DeleteWe never really even had a winter and the temps are pushing 80 here already!
ReplyDeleteAdorable grandson!
Brenda the weather seems to be a little crazy everywhere at the moment
DeletePeek-a-boo! What a little cutie...just love it when they cover their face and can't see you so they think....you can't see them either! So funny!
ReplyDeleteThey definitely keep you laughing and smiling don't they?
DeleteLove the photos!!!! Definitely a cutie-pie.
ReplyDeleteSummer? LOL -- we're still looking for winter, though ti is snowing today.
He's very adorable and I'm not biased at all. Snow sounds quite nice about now. It only got to 33 today but is now raining so very high humidity
DeleteHi Fi, what a sweetie that little boy is. It is 85 or so degrees here in Ethiopia. Not used to this heat in February. LOL..I think I need a pool and some ice.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure you get much of that heat any time of the year at home do you. Love looking at all the pics you're posting
DeleteYour weather sounds beautiful. We'll be there soon! The cold and wet weather makes me miserable, especially since I've been sick. Enjoy those last few weeks of summer!
ReplyDeleteEven though i lived in tropical country 38c is pretty hot. my fav weather somewhere between 19c-25c (which is almost everyday in here. lol)
ReplyDeleteI used to leave my babies naked as much as possible (and trail after them with a cloth and disinfectant ;) ). Enjoy it while it lasts :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband was just in Bangalore, India. It's in the northern hemisphere, but not by much and super-warm compared to life here at the moment. He would've enjoyed a nice ice cube as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing 6WS!
