- Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
- Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
- Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
- Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.
Have a great weekend everyone
Cheers, Fi

I really do believe that laughter is the best medicine. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSo do I. Hope your recovery is by now complete. I can't watch your laughing babies - Jock is asleep in front of the TV, and he would not be laughing if I woke him up with giggles!
ReplyDeleteSorry you have been so ill! I hope you are on the road to recovery now. And yes...laughter is the best of medicines. I enjoyed the laughing babies video!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!

We have a retro TV channel here that plays an old comedy show on Sunday nights. I'm going to have to make sure to watch that tonight. I could use some of the benefits of laughter. I hope you are feeling back to yourself very soon!
ReplyDeleteI DID laugh! A lot! Laughing babies are irresistible. Also, Funnies Home Videos is great when you're feeling blue or sick. I hope you're feeling better today!
