6WS - Annoyed, despite all my best intentions......

I have an ugly white line on the front guard of my new car, that's on the car that has only done 6500 kilometres. Some pea brain bloody idiot doesn't know how to judge the width of their own car when parking next to me....argh.

Despite me having that new car paranoia which makes me park in far distant corners of car parks and makes me avoid squeezy little car parks. Despite always parking to the far side of a car park if no one can park on the other side, just so that I can keep moronic idiotic pea brains from scratching my new car.

I'm so annoyed. Hopefully it will polish out, but that's not the point - some people just simply don't care.

We've endured yet another day of 42 degree celcius today - I'm not sure what is with summer this year, I don't remember ever having so many hot days like this. Not really, really hot days like we've been having. Insane temperatures and then crazy winds are playing havoc on our city.

Crazy temperatures also mean more bush fires and today they were in the Adelaide Hills which is bringing them much closer to the city. The appalling thing is that in many cases these fires are being deliberately set - so what makes a person do that?

This week in one night we had 14 fires set in the southern suburbs - I live in the southern suburbs. Luckily they got the guy, but now authority's are saying the fires today in the hills are also suspicious.

It's 8.30pm and the temperature is still hovering at 33 degrees. I'm sitting here in my air-conditioned lounge room with my laptop in my lap and watching the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on television. Hubby and youngest son are working and middle son has gone to bed to watch TV.

It's just me and the oompah loompahs tonight, another regular Saturday night in Adelaide. So where are you and what are you doing?

Cheers, Fi

  1. I am sorry to hear about your car. That is really frustrating! People just really don't seem to care anymore.

    1. It annoys the heck out of me Karen, as does coming home and having to tell hubby.

  2. So sorry! Of course, that's going to happen only with new vehicles, isn't it? I had an old clunker for years, got a new car, and within two months was involved in a wreck. I hope your offender didn't hit and run.

  6. Love your Six word photo and words -- very beautiful.

And yup -- new cars don't stay new long when out on the road! So sorry.

  8. I can empathize about the car...very frustrating! Here in the north, in Winter, we have had several days when the temps are barely above 0 degrees F!
