Back to reality

There's no place like home, there's no place like home - yes Dorothy, there's no place quite like home, but going on holiday makes you remember just how much you love home.

That said, I absolutely loved Thailand. We had an awesome holiday in a beautiful country and met some lovely people.

We flew back into Adelaide on Thursday morning and we're all still in recovery mode.

I swear the three and a half hour time difference has knocked us all around. Sleeping till 11am is unheard of for hubby and I, yet it's been tough to get up.

For the last two mornings I've set my alarm for 9am with the hope of gradually easing back into it, and yet each night I'm still awake till 2am. Not good for a return to work. I'm meant to be back tomorrow but we have a funeral to go to, so I'm not back till Tuesday.

I finally faced reality today and downloaded all of the first material for Topic 1 for my MBA which starts the end of this week. OMG - 200 plus pages of reading plus the textbook, how on earth am I going to fit all of that into my life?

Big breath....quote above my desk reminds me "The possibilities are endless...one merely needs to step forward"

So I won't worry about the how, I'll just step forward and begin, and then trust that it will all fall into place. Nothing worth doing is ever easy.

Hubby is talking about him and I going to Vietnam next (without the boys) So that may just be my reward for completing my MBA.

Well believe it or not, I have just a little bit of reading to do. So I'm off to read all about Strategic Management, now how's that for some enthralling Sunday night reading.

If you missed my last post, all of our Phuket adventures are on Travelpod and I will probably write a further post later down the track about the things I learnt on our journey. The link will take you to the first day and at the bottom of each page there's a next entry button.

Cheers, Fi

  1. For some reason we are always able to find a way to fit just a little bit more into our schedules, especially when it is something we want. You can do it!
