I think I can...I think I can....

It's supposed to be 34C (93.2F) today, where did Spring go? We're 7 weeks out from Summer and it's this hot already? My poor dog doesn't know what to think, she's black and doesn't like the heat much unless she's in the water.

This isn't her in the picture, but given her love of water, I'm sure she'd look exactly like this - lol

Northerly winds add to my love of this kind of day, my hay fever is having a run today - literally. On a positive slant, daylight savings has started and that means an extra hour of sunlight every evening and not driving home from work in the dark when I start back next week. Love that part of this time of year.

Funny story, I'm trying to pay a fine for my son before the due date (with his hard earned dollars, not mine) and because the paperwork hasn't been submitted their end, I can't. Does no-one pay fines early these days, or is it that they don't expect anyone to pay early? Arrggghhh!

Now it's going to bug me until I can.

I have another minor dilemma, I have different three starts for books and I'm not sure which one I want to write first, so I write nothing and I dither instead. They're similar ideas but different story lines. That's what happens when you don't write for a while and then everything wants out of your head at once.

Ironically I've discovered that I have more rhythm and pattern to my writing when I have a set daily schedule and I have to squeeze my writing in. Not sure how that works but looking forward to being busy again next week.

Who am I kidding, I love being home, I love being able to do what I want when I want. That said, it's very easy to lose motivation and think I'll do that tomorrow because you know the days will stretch out ahead of you.

I got bored when my kids were little because I needed the ongoing mental stimulation, so I don't imagine this would be any different. I'm sure I'd get bored of sitting home, it might take a while but would happen eventually. I'm extremely grateful that I was able to have the time that I did. This ol' girl needed the break.

So now that I've dithered here some and written a few words on my blog, I'm off to force some words out onto the page and see if I can't see which book is calling loudest to me. The days are dwindling and soon I'll be back on a work schedule, unless of course I win the lottery anytime soon.

Enjoy the rest of your week,

Cheers, Fi

I need a reminder occasionally

  1. It's so funny-the opposite weather. I'm enjoying my first relatively cool day! The fact that I'm enjoying it all day in my pajamas with no plans to do anything of importance is irrelevant, right? ; )
